The catering and bakery department is lacking in customer service. We called three times to place a catering order. We were repeatedly told we would get a call back but never did. We physically went into the store to place the order for roast tenderloin and slider rolls for 30 people. When we went to pick up the order, the tenderloin was ready but the rolls were never made. No one seemed to have a clue what happened and just shifted blame on to other employees. We purchased rolls from the shelves which was okay. We also purchased baguettes but even the simple act of putting them in the bread slicer was a problem. The staff seemed to be trying to hide so they didn’t have to help us. They weren’t apologetic. One of them said this kind of thing happens all the time. They need better communication, and training. If you actually get to place an order, be sure to confirm it will be ready. We needed someplace close to the marina and had limited choices otherwise would have definitely explored other options. Won’t be ordering again.

While waiting for food at the deli, I overheard an employee (tattoos on her face) having a loud, graphic conversation about sexual activity with a coworker. It was inappropriate for a customer-facing business and made the environment uncomfortable. I expect a higher level of professionalism when visiting Grauls.

After hearing glowing reviews, I placed a custom cake order three months in advance with a Bakery worker named Max. To ensure the cake was going to be ready in time I followed up three weeks ago and verified the details with Ms. Cindy, who confirmed everything was in order. Imagine my frustration when I arrived yesterday, only to be informed that my order was entirely missing from your system. Placing an order well in advance and taking the additional step of verifying it with your staff is done specifically to prevent these exact problems. Because of this experience, I am unable to recommend your services to others. I expect a much higher standard of organization and reliability from a bakery with your reputation.

I love the neatness of this establishment. Nice wide aisle grocery shopping that doesn't make you feel crammed. Plenty of great options to appeal to all your grocery needs. Hot foods here are great for a quick lunch as same as the salad bar. We used to come here when I was a kid, my father and I would split some bread and cheeses and deli meats before walking around the capital. Years later I returned to see this store is uniquely well kept. Very well quality as its always been. I must say it's nostalgic and impressive indeed!

This is a great little local market which sells the best niche items. I always go in there with a small hand basket and leave with a bunch more stuff than I intended on buying. They have a wonderful selection of foods which are comparably priced with the larger food brands. They however have an awesome selection of locally grown and sourced things the larger stores can't compete with. Try the bakery and deli, they won't disappoint.
